Burlington Road Building (BRB) & PAS
The Burlington Road Building, originally Emory Baptist Church, houses the Department of Music administrative offices, multi-media music classrooms, a world music classroom, seminar classrooms, a small conference room, practice rooms, and a black box theater. The Performing Arts Studio was originally the church sanctuary, adjacent to the BRB. It was converted into a lecture/performance hall, with a tech booth, retractable seating for 240, and a sprung dance floor.
The Performing Arts Studio has a highly flexible setup. The 142-seat bleacher unit can be retracted, which will increase the depth of the space to approximately 70ft. Use of the PAS includes the dressing rooms, box office, lounge, lounge restrooms, lobby, and lobby restrooms. The theatrical grid located 23ft above the play-space is equipped with a versatile lighting plot that includes LED, tungsten, and arch-source lighting fixtures
