Whitehead Biomedical Building
The LEED Silver certified Whitehead Biomedical Research Building is eight-stories and 325,000 gross square feet of laboratories, lab supports, and offices for the cell biology, human genetics, and physiology departments. Opened in 2001, it was designed with an open lab concept featuring large flexible lab spaces with fewer walls in order to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
An underground hallway connects it with the Rollins Research Center, Whitehead Biomedical Research Building, and the Rollins School of Public Health.
